RousselClo could be described in many ways, as a philosopher,a social commentator or even a bard,
but first and foremost he finds his most articulate voice as an artist, a painter.
His expressive works are best described as expressive figurative story telling.
Within his paintings there are intricate and complex narratives that are overlaid again and again with rich and elaborate meanings.
The figures and the narratives move in all directions over the canvas but they all find their origins in one source,
the thoughts and emotions of RousselClo, this is very personal story telling.
There is an angst in RousselClo's paintings, sometimes one can sense in his works that he trying to communicate
a deep frustration within himself, as well as a frustration with the chaos of the world that he inhabits.
But there is also a deep love for humanity in his work, a rare sensitivity.
There is a voice that talks in his paintings it is both wildly expressive and astonishingly articulate, it draws you into his works.
Set in a world that is part reality and part fantasy, RousselClo's fables, remind us of our own childhood
but at the same time, the wit and sophistication of the tales lets us ponder our adult lives and the society we are all a part of.
Ultimately, RousselClo is inviting us to consider what kind of world we want to create for ourselves.
